Julian Wiley is a highly successful entrepreneur who 22 years ago founded Yorkshire-based accessories company Wiley Accessories Ltd, a leading supplier to high street clients including Tesco, Asda, Arcadia, Top Shop and Accessorize. The Wiley group operates internationally with an office in Hong Kong and a JV factory in mainland China, and has annual turnover of $30M. Julian has decades of experience in outsourcing quality manufacture to China. Julian is a self-confessed petrol head. Evoco's renewable activities stem from Julian's desire to become carbon neutral on a personal and business basis.
Lawrence Tomlinson is a Yorkshire based racing driver, businessman, entrepreneur and sole founder and chairman of the LNT Group which encompasses five core businesses in diverse sectors ranging from care homes to automotive design and manufacture. As one of Britain's most successful businessmen, Lawrence is environmentally focussed and is profiled as an environmental leader in the Sunday Times' Green Rich List of Britain's most successful green entrepreneurs.
Ryan has an entrepreneurial flair and a talent for spotting business opportunities. Ryan studied Architecture at Leeds Metropolitan and initially worked in practice, but soon realised a conventional career path was not for him. As a co-founder of Evoco, Ryan's "make-it happen" approach has been a major driving force in developing the Evoco brand from concept to main-player. Always seeking the next challenge, Ryan has recently negotiated UK exclusivity over solar PV distribution in a multi-million deal with Korean electronics giant LG.
Sandy founded Evoco with Julian Wiley and Ryan Gill. Sandy has been instrumental in developing Evoco into a successful and recognised brand. With a degree in Business Retail Management and previous experience in media and property companies, a move into the renewable sector offered new challenges. Now with four years of hands on experience in small renewable, Sandy is responsible for day to day operations within the business working closely with Evoco's reseller network and suppliers.
Educated at Edinburgh University with degrees in Law and Business Administration, Fraser has a varied professional background, formerly with one of Evoco's competitors, and before that in various legal and corporate finance roles with the Royal Bank of Scotland as a Corporate Manager, as an Associate of Beer and Partners venture capital and as a director of several client companies in a variety of industries. In 2004, Fraser helped steer coffee shop chain Java Junction to a successful multi-million trade sale to Compass Group plc. With an in-depth understanding of the technicalities of wind turbine performance prediction, Fraser is responsible for business opportunity development for Evoco Wind Harvesting.
With a first class degree and masters from Edinburgh University, Ben is an electrical engineer with extensive experience in project-managing and trouble-shooting the installation of wind turbines and other microgeneration plant. Before coming to Evoco, Ben was a senior engineer at Sheffield-based Rotary Engineering, a turbine installation specialist, where he gained valuable expert knowledge about planning, siting, installing and operating wind turbines from numerous manufacturers.
Guy trained with KPMG in the 1970's, joining an up and coming practice in 1978. In the early 80's, Guy moved from professional practice to become shareholder and FD of a group of 6 companies in the commercial vehicle parts supply industry. After 30 years in that role, Guy felt the need of a new challenge in his life and joined Julian Wiley in January 2009 as FD of the Wiley Accessories Group and Evoco Group companies. Guy brings a wealth of detailed, hands-on financial management experience to the Evoco companies.
